About Us
UCM is a student chapter of the Missouri Association for the Education of Young Children, which is a state affiliate for the National Association for the Education of Young Children. During their inaugural year (2020-2021), this growing group of early childhood education majors from the UCM College of Education, amidst a pandemic, showed perseverance and problem-solving to initiate and build their organization.
The University of Central Missouri ECE program’s UCM Student Chapter of MOAEYC, is currently the only student chapter in MO.

Previous Events
The 2020-2021 organization members carried out a service project for local Warrensburg elementary schools. They selected children’s books to record read-alouds and donated books and props to Maple Grove Elementary children and teachers. In addition, they worked on a service project for a local early childhood education and care center.
