Mission -Our mission is to promote high quality learning for all children, birth through 8, by connecting practice, policy and research. We advance a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children. We believe all children thrive and learn in a society dedicated to ensuring they reach their full potential.

Governing Board – We are an all-volunteer board who are committed to improving the quality of early learning for educators and children

Bylaws -The bylaws were revised in Aug 2018 and are available to view here.

Leadership and Professional Development– Opportunities are available for leadership at the state level in many capacities and within many committees, and at the local chapter level.

Chapters – Local Chapters with local leaders organize events and opportunities in their own area.  More information about forming a new chapter can be found on our website or by contacting us.

Accreditation– We support NAEYC accreditation as the gold standard for early childhood programs across the country and will provide information and support if needed to those programs working towards this high achievement.  More info on accredited centers and a directory to their location can be found on the NAEYC site and our Accreditation page .

Advocacy/ Public Policy– MOAEYC maintains an active Public Policy committee who are working to make NAEYC members aware of issues that are influencing local, state and federal early childhood legislation. Additional information about the Public Policy committee can be found on the Advocacy and Public Policy Page.

Events– MOAEYC Chapters host many professional development opportunities and family events. Check for more information on the Chapter link or the Calendar.   In addition, NAEYC hosts three of the most important and well-attended annual events for educators, administrators, and advocates in the early learning community: NAEYC’s Annual Conference, the Professional Learning Institute, and the NAEYC Public Policy Forum.
